Salar de Uyuni, amid the Andes in southwest Bolivia, is the world’s largest salt flat. It’s the legacy of a prehistoric lake that went dry, leaving behind a desert, of nearly 11,000-sq.-km. the landscape of bright-white salt, rock formations, and cacti-studded islands. Its otherworldly expanse can be observed from central Incahuasi Island. Though wildlife is rare in this unique ecosystem, it harbors many pink flamingos. Bolivia's Salar de Uyuni is considered one of the most extreme and remarkable vistas in all of South America, if not Earth.

This incredible place serves as an interesting reminder for me that even when something is lost, there can still remain something noteworthy. This is what the song is about. Even if a part of you is gone, what remains is incredible and is often the best part of you.
