Inspired by the Story of Zeus's birth, "Something More" pertains to having the ability to achieve more through hardship. In Greek Mythology, Zeus was almost another casualty of his father Cronus on the day of his birth. Thanks to his mother Rhea, he survived and was told that he was destined to overcome his father and save his siblings who were swallowed whole by Cronus. When the time came to do so, he faced unbelievable odds, and rather than allowing his troubles to cripple him, he used his turmoil to become great and defeated not only his father and the other Titans and managed to liberate his siblings at the same time.
lyrics
V1
I see you, staring at me,
looking at all my scars
To show you, what is to be,
battered without remorse
I've been
a punching bag,
a blood-soaked rag,
made of skin and bone
I've been
burned and used,
mind abused,
and thrown in hell alone
Bridge
There has always been and always will be,
a reason to doubt what you've been told
This world has a way of breaking you down,
Endure the sickness and the cold
V1.5
I'm told to shut my mouth, work it out, accept the way it is
Been told to be strong, for far too long, and be oblivious
Chorus
To every life that's strained
a struggle left before
As true as fate's ordained
Truth is just a door
With pain will come endurance
Strength beyond what's seen
Like rolling of the thunder
Inside your very being
Been Underestimated
Been labeled and unclean
Tired of sedation
No longer am unseen
harness blinding sun
To journey she core
To face a war of one
To be something more
V2
There may be, no other way
But to build all these walls
To see me, through what I say
Empty as damaged halls
I tried,
I'm dead inside,
a mindless Hyde,
there is nowhere to go
When I'm,
in a cell,
my own hell,
nothing but a hole
